Arrival and Dismissal

South school Procedures and Protocols

Arrival

When students arrive in the morning, they will meet on the blacktop starting at 8:45 AM. Supervision begins at 8:45 AM. When the bell rings at 8:55 AM, students will line up behind their room number and enter the building with their class. They will put their personal belongings in their locker, go directly to their classroom and find their seat. Class begins promptly at 9 AM. 

PM Kindergarten will enter through Door 1 (the main entrance) at 1:00 PM. 

Dismissal

All students will be dismissed to the blacktop at the end of the school day. Kindergarten through second grade students will dismiss out of Door 5 and third through fifth grade students will dismiss out of Door 4. Dismissal is at 3:15 PM on Mondays and 3:30 PM Tuesdays through Fridays. 

AM Kindergarten dismissal is at 11:30 AM through Door 1 (the main entrance). 

Please do not park in the no parking striped area in front of the school when dropping off or picking up your child at school.

This area is designated for drop-off and pick-up only and if cars are left unattended, it prevents the flow of traffic. If you would like to walk your child to the building or pick them up from the playground after school, please find a legal parking place on the street.

We also ask that you not park in the staff parking lot behind the school. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
