This week Mr. Smith's art class started working on drawings.

They had the chance to draw different animals and even scenes from prehistoric times.

Students learned the difference between primary colors such as red, yellow and blue, and secondary colors such as orange, green and violet.

They also learned the importance of deciding between warm colors verses cool colors when creating a portrait.

Warm colors are lighter shades, such as red, yellow and orange, while cool colors are darker shades such as blue, green and purple.
