Students Practice Their Soccer Skills

Students Practice Their Soccer Skills
South

South Elementary School students practiced their soccer skills in Mr. O'Donnell's PE class recently.

Mr. O'Donnell set up three different stations in the gym.

The first station had two nets set up and the students had to practice making a goal, rotating between being a goalie and kicking the ball into the net.

At the second station students had the chance to practice passing the ball.

A bowling pin was set up in the middle of the circle with one student protecting it.

There were four students around the circle and when it was a students turn they had to pass the ball twice before another student had an opportunity to try and knock the pin down with the ball.

The third and final station was "scooter soccer."

Students had to stay seated on the scooter and could only use their feet to move and pass the soccer ball.

Their goal was to make it to their opponents end and knock bowling pins down.

In addition to passing and kicking the ball, the students practiced their communication and teamwork skills in order to successfully get the ball to the other side.

Each student had an opportunity to try out each station and everyone had a fun time doing so.
