Colorful Tulips to Bloom Next Spring at South!

Colorful Tulips to Bloom Next Spring at South!
South

South Elementary School third graders were excited to try their hand at planting tulip bulbs as part of the school's Gardening Club.

The club, under the direction of Library Media Specialist Ms. Debbie Muraiti and Second Grade Teacher Ms. Ashly Zurlo, meets twice during the month of October during lunch.

Before the students went outside, they gathered together to learn the difference between a seed and a bulb.

As they ate their lunch, they also learned how to plant tulip bulbs.

The students were given gloves and a shovel and were excited to go outside to start working on the flower bed at the front of the school.

After picking their spot, they dug as deep as they could and planted the tulip bulbs.

They had to made sure the bulbs were deep enough and that they were fully covered with dirt.

The students are excited to seeing them bloom in the spring!
