At the beginning of the school year South Elementary School students and staff gathered together in the gym for a school-wide assembly led by Principal Kristin Jares.
The assembly began with Principal Jares introducing the different grade-level teams and teachers, who were met with cheers and applause from the students! Then the rest of the staff were also introduced and welcomed warmly.
After the introductions, Principal Jares reviewed the school's behavior expectations and the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support) program.
The assembly was a great opportunity for students to reconnect with classmates they hadn't seen over the summer.
The students are excited to begin the new school year!
